About This Book
It is a beautiful book, painted in a thick, brushy, slightly
angular line, with a monchrome wash, and the occasional sparser panel
providing a bit of contrast. Basically it’s a comic about the relationship between a young woman and a somewhat unreliable young man. I’ll fill this out a bit more as I discover more!
I’m taking the first page of comics as page 1.

You are meeting a woman?

Panel 2
You are brave!
Panel 3
I don’t think so.
Panel 4
Aah! modest with it!
Panel 5
That’s great.
Panel 6
He left…
Funny sort.

I need to talk to you.
Page 16

It’s not bad here
Panel 2
I’ve been coming here a long time.

For me, it will be two beers!
Panel 6
We don’t kiss when we meet any more?
[This is a little awkward, but there’s no really good translation of ‘bise’]
Page 19
Panel 2
You came with…
Excuse me, that’s not my concern anymore.
Panel 3
No problem, whoever’s interested.

Panel 3
I wish it were that simple.
We’ve been separated for how long now?
Panel 4
I too wish it were that simple.
Page 21

Panel 2
That smells disgusting? Is it fashionable?

Barman, the same again.

Page 26
Panel 1
You know I saw you talking to him.
Panel 2
If it’s because of him that you are in this state, it’s a shame, above all that…

Be careful with your words
